Rick & Jaclyn: September 17, 2011 ~ Part 1

Jaclyn and I met in University and have known each other for over 10 years.  When she first asked if I would be the wedding photographer for her and Rick, I didn’t hesitate one bit!  They are both so fun and young at heart, and I knew I wanted to be able to capture the memories of their special day.  However, what I didn’t anticipate was having to wipe tears off my face during their heartfelt ceremony, and still make sure I got the shots!

After the tear-jerking ceremony at South Abbotsford church, the party headed to Rick’s parents’ house where a traditional ceremony and meeting of the families took place.  I always find it so difficult to narrow down which photos I want to share in a blog post,  and I found this one the most challenging yet because Rick & Jaclyn were surrounded by so much love for all of the many events of the day.

Rick & Jaclyn – thank you so much for trusting me with the job of photographing your amazing wedding.  I know how much work went into it and I hope that your day was the happily ever after that you both dreamed of and deserve!  You are truly perfect for one another, and I look forward to watching your marriage bloom.

And to my second shooter for the day, yet again, the fabulous Shayna Kerrie…  Thanks for spending the morning with the guys and for all of your help and beautiful work throughout the day.  I couldn’t do it without your friendship and support!
